This breathtaking 1930's silk dress in a burnout devoré pattern in shades of amber and spice set against a black silk base, is a rare piece to behold.
The rounded neckline is framed by a simple shoulder line and full length inset sleeves, edged with single press stud fastenings along each cuff. The fitted bodice, is set off by rounded seams which contour either side of the bust-line, accented by soft gathers along the décolletage area which drape in pleats across the bust. The fitted waist-line is set off by gathered pleats along each side seam, creating subtle pleats along the waist, which draw the eye to the pointed seam along the hipline, from which the skirt-line gently flares out in a timeless bias cut. Finished with a matching pointed seam along the back of the skirt.
This dress is slightly sheer and may need to be worn with a slip to conceal ones modesty.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. Very light colour variation to the silk devoré pattern, which appears lighter in some areas. A few very small pin holes to the silk chiffon base. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
