This wonderful 1940's barkcloth cotton handbag, with a hand printed geometric pattern of abstract flowers and leaves, surrounded by angular shapes and trims, and set off my gold painted accents, is the perfect accessory for your everyday wardrobe.
The rounded frame of the bag, showcases a central brass light lock claps, which is edged with scalloped details along the base of the metal hardware. The rounded frame is set off by matching fabric handles positioned along the front and reverse of the either side of the bag. The elegant soft form of the bag, boasts pleats that radiate from the frame, creating a wonderful rounded design. The bag opens to a bronze coloured satin lining, with a small joining coin purse.

Condition: In near perfect vintage condition with light and gentle wear to the brass metal hardware along the external clasp and along the internal coin purse clasp.
