A beauty to behold. This original 1940's crepe silk blouse, rendered in the most incredible blush silk, and embellished with ornate beadwork in shades of gold and gunmetal grey, with sparkling pink sequins and pink glass beads, in a floral design and pattern, is a rare piece to behold.
The high mandarin collar, is embellished with rows of gold and gun metal grey coloured small glass bugle beads, whilst the collar draws together along the front of the neck with two small hook and eyes. The simple shoulder line, is accented by a tiered kimono sleeve detail, which is embellished with matching rows of gunmetal silver and gold bugle beads, setting off the kimono cut of the sleeves along the base. The elegant silhouette of the blouse is accented by central frog button fastenings, in knotted blush pink crepe silk, and blush silk covered buttons, accented by swirling bugle bead designs. The longline cut of the blouse is accented by wide central beaded panels beneath the frog button fastenings, which draw the eye to the trailing floral beadwork to either side of the front of the blouse and along the back. Finished with tailored darts along the back of the blouse, which draw in the waistline, this simply divine blouse showcases the incredible craftsmanship of the era.

Condition: This blouse is in near perfect vintage condition. Very gentle and light sequin and bead loss. This is not apparent when the blouse is being worn and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
