This darling vintage 1930's pink silk dress, with a woven pattern in shades of pastel blue, yellow, green, and pink, accented by soft threaded edges, is the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.
The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a wide white cotton Peter Pan collar, edged with delicate folded pleats, which frame the central mauve coloured silk bow along the front of the neckline. The simple shoulder line, sets off the short length sleeves, which boast inverted pleats along each external side, creating a gentle flutter to the silk. The fitted bodice, boasts triple sewn pleated panels along either side of the central mock button fastenings, which run from the front of the neckline to the waistline, and conceal hook and eye fastenings. The cinched in waistline, boasts a raised piped detail. The elegant line of the skirt is accented by a circle cut, which boasts sewn knife pleats along the centre front and back, which flare out at midway height, creating the most elegant movement and drape to the pink silk. Finished with a central inverted pleat along the back of the bodice, this beautiful 1930's dress showcases the design and craftsmanship of the era. This dress is fully lined in cream silk

Closures: This dress fastens with 15 hook and eyes along the front of the bodice, 6 press studs, and an 8 inch plastic zip along the centre front of the skirt.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A small age mark along the top right hand side of the collar. Light and gentle wear to the silk along the covered buttons to the front of the dress. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only apparent upon close inspection.
