This iconic 1950's dress, rendered in the softest of silk chiffons in ivory and daffodil yellow, accented by a double millinery flower features along the bodice, is the perfect piece for your seasonal cocktail wardrobe.
The straight cut neckline of the dress is framed by thin silk chiffon shoulder straps with a yellow pleated silk chiffon strap along the left hand side shoulder, which joins the front of the bodice, and threads in beneath the ivory silk. The fitted bodice is accented by an ivory silk chiffon overlay, which radiates in pleats from the left hand side of the bodice, beneath the millinery flowers. The cinched in waistline, is accented by gathered pleats that radiate from the waistband into the skirt, setting off the yellow silk chiffon sash that drapes along the front left hand side of the skirt. Finished with a rayon lining and a layer of tulle for added volume.

Closures: This dress fastens at the back with an 11 inch metal zip and a hook and eye.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. Some thinning to the thin silk chiffon shoulder straps. Three small holes to the silk chiffon skirt along the front right hand side just above the hemline. A small area of wear to the ivory silk chiffon along the right hand side of the sash to the left hand side of the skirt-line. There are scattered age marks to the skirt, these are well concealed within the silk drape and only noticeable upon inspection.
