This truly magnificent 1950's raw silk dress, rendered in a cream and black houndstooth pattern, and fully lined in the softest of silk organzas, is the perfect statement piece for your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a pointed notched collar. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, which are edged with fitted cuffs with single external button fastenings. The fitted bodice is accented by tailored darts and central matching fabric button fastenings. The cinched in waistline, sets off the wonderful cut of the skirt, which boasts box pleats to either side of the front of the waistline along the back and the front of the waist. The button fastenings are continued to hip length height, from which the dress in internally sewn, to create the illusion of a full shirt-waister design. Finished with a pockets along each side seam, and fully lined in silk organza, this wonderful 1950's dress is sure to be a favourite in your collection.
